Dongguan Taiwan Expo Opens, Five Wanjiang Enterprises Join Hands to Showcase Their Strength!
Taiwanese Businesses Unite, Integrating into the Greater Bay Area

From September 7 to 10, the 14th Dongguan Taiwan Famous Products Fair 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the “Taiwan Expo”) was held at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center. Five Taiwanese enterprises from Wanjiang participated as a group, showcasing the strength of Wanjiang’s Taiwanese businesses and promoting enterprise development.

On the morning of September 7, Wang Shusheng, a member of the Wanjiang Sub-district Party Working Committee, led a team to the Taiwan Expo, visiting the five Wanjiang enterprises exhibiting at the event. He carefully listened to the reports from company leaders on their participation, focused on understanding their key and debut products, and engaged in in-depth discussions with the executives.
As a “golden brand” for cross-strait exchanges and cooperation as well as the transformation and upgrading of Taiwanese enterprises, this year’s Dongguan Taiwan Expo once again reached a record scale, with more than 700 companies participating. Among them, five enterprises from Wanjiang — Dongguan Weiguang Gifts Co., Ltd. (“Weiguang”), Dongguan Yingjia Paper Co., Ltd. (“Yingjia Paper”), Xinghang Plastic Products Co., Ltd. (“Xinghanglong”), Wanjiang Maosen Tea House, and Wanjiang Taixin Tea House — took part, covering industries such as gifts, printing and packaging, and tea.

As a “new face” at the Taiwan Expo, Weiguang joined the ranks of exhibitors this year. At its booth, Weiguang showcased its flagship products — FIFA-licensed souvenirs such as the World Cup Trophy replicas, emblem ornaments, and a series of keychains. Since its establishment in 1991, Weiguang has undertaken licensed merchandise for major international sporting events, including the Olympic Games, the Asian Games, and the FIFA World Cup. Notably, Weiguang has already secured the license for the design, manufacturing, and sales of merchandise for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

In recent years, leveraging its strong design capabilities for international sporting event merchandise and its commitment to producing only high-quality products with strict quality control, Weiguang has earned recognition and orders from the global market. A company representative stated that through participation in this year’s Taiwan Expo, Weiguang aims to further expand its international market reach, enhance its global competitiveness, and take this opportunity to showcase to enterprises and visitors from across the country the remarkable achievements it has made internationally over the past 32 years as a “Chinese enterprise.” Looking ahead, Weiguang will actively collaborate with Taiwanese compatriots and enterprises, deeply implement an innovation-driven development strategy, and contribute to accelerating Dongguan’s growth into a strong city of scientific innovation and advanced manufacturing within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

In addition, Yingjia Paper is also participating in the Taiwan Expo for the first time. Founded in 1998 and located in the Xinhe community of Wanjiang, the company specializes in producing DRAGON BOARD greyboard for hardcover books. Its main products include exquisite gift boxes and high-end packaging boxes, which are exported to countries such as Australia, India, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, and Russia.

A representative of Yingjia Paper stated that after the pandemic, the Taiwan Expo has hit the fast-forward button. The company hopes to use this platform to find more partners, attract investment, bring products to market, and achieve resource sharing and collective growth.

Xinghanglong, on the other hand, is a regular participant at the Tea Expo. Established in 1992, the company is a well-known brand enterprise in Guangdong Province with strong technical expertise. Its main products include PFF insulation materials, patented fireproof pipe supports, and a series of related products. The company also owns well-known brands such as “Xinghanglong” and “Shafeiya” ion-based mother-and-child cooling mattresses.

At the Xing Hang Long booth, the company’s high-performance products and highlights attracted numerous domestic and international business visitors for inquiries and negotiations. After more than 30 years of development, the company’s R&D products have already been applied in major projects such as Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou Honda Automobile Manufacturing Plant, Taoyuan Airport in Taiwan, and Changping Railway Station in Dongguan.
A representative of Xing Hang Long stated that the company looks forward to leveraging this Taiwan Expo to empower growth, promote the dual-cycle economic effect, jointly witness the expansion of Taiwanese enterprises in Wanjiang, and contribute to the economic development of Wanjiang.
